Yah, you gotta pick up a lotta turds before you find a gemstone.
Good people are hard to find. Good local people damn near impossible. But, that has not stopped me. You never know when you will meet that one special person. That said, I am a hopeless optimist. Lol.
No, nor will I. {hugs}

Safeway sells avocados. Stand there and squeeze some for freshness, flutter your eyelids, and look slightly... helpless. YOUR guy will be the one coming up to you with a Q: "Do you need help picking out the ripe ones?"
Instant feedback on ALL fronts. Especially if he accidentally (on purpose) touches your fingers. The worst that can happen is you get some exercise and walk away with an avocado. Do you know how healthy they are for you?🤗
... this works in reverse, as well, if you see someone who suits your palate...
