BACK TO NORMAL

This past weekend was glorious! Well, for the most part, anyways. The kids were here from MN, which meant all 4 of my little ones were together for the first time! 3 out of 4 swam together, rode scooters and Power Wheels together, taunted each other, and ate popsicles. We cuddled the 7 month old, who is a pretty chill baby. He smiles all the time, and when you put him down, he rolls and rolls and rolls.

Daughter was good, despite a sinus infection. We talked a little about our argument in April, which I thought was caused mainly because of hormones, after she had the baby. She insisted it wasn't. OK, I told her I was proud of her that she brought up a tough subject and stood up for herself. I think we're OK again, now let's move on.

Our 4th was spent in town at my sister-in-law's. It started storming the minute the parade started, kinda sad watching some of the candy floating in puddles. Still fun for most. My favorite pic is of Hubby and oldest grandson standing in the rain, catching candy, soaked to the skin. 70 year old SIL fell again, nothing broken. Friends came on their Harley. When they left, they hit a wet spot and dumped their bike a block away. They DO have some broken bones and road rash. They will heal. First time in years we did not enter the carnival or beer garden. Shocking.

Yesterday I washed sheets, towels and everything else, put the back porch together, watered flowers, cleaned birdbaths, and filled bird feeders. This morning I'm going to tackle the lawn. Can't wait to do errands on the Trike this afternoon. The peace and quiet is back, and I love it. Time for some giggity-giggity!
