THIS WEATHER

I think the heat is finally on its way, starting Sunday! The month of June here in the Midwest has been ridiculous! Rain, rain, tornados, and more rain and wind. Flooding everywhere. The last week or so has only reached the 70's. Sure, it's nice to do yardwork, but we can't get in the pool. We've been working on getting it cleared up. I think I told y'all about the holes in the liner? Sooooooooo relieved we didn't have to replace it. It's beautiful now, just a little chilly, and the little ones can't wait to get in it!

We had to have our roof replaced on the house and garage - just old, no specific damage. It looks beautiful! The guy has been replacing all the fascia, and we get new gutters on Saturday. I just don't feel like doing it, so I have a guy coming to spread mulch for me, and put some skirting around the front porch. It's all gonna look great!

Here's a pic of it so far. (The ruts in the grass are from the roofers trucks parked in the front yard. 14 guys pushed it out in 1 day!)

Thank you! It was time to raise the deck a little. The pool will be full today, supposed to reach 95 - will feel like over 100!

@luv2suk1966 Very few homes have AC here. Until very recently, our main problem was keeping our homes warm, so most homes have central heating. 🙂

I thought of you the other day when I saw that this year Kansas was only #6 for tornado activity - and Illinois was #1! But of late it has been quite rainy. We're CLOSE (but not at) catching up on the drought.

House looks good! And I know the deal about rutted yards from work trucks. Mine is still recovering from when I had to have a new well for the sprinklers drilled 15 months ago.

Confessions of a biker babe

This is my first blog, so here goes... My husband and I just got back from "HOGROCK", down in SO. IL. It's a 4-day biker/camping event, similar to the "BOOGIE", which is in So. IN.
