TORNADO

The last couple of days around here have been wicked! Hot, sticky, muggy, then a storm. Hot, sticky, muggy, then another storm. (My back deck has been purposely cleared since Wednesday) Yesterday I ventured down to Farm n Fleet for jeans. The minute after I walked into the store, the downpour started. OK. I wasn't leaving for a while. I looked through ALL of the hummingbird feeders, got my birdseed and thistle, roamed around in the kitchen area, and tried on jeans. (I found a pair!!)

I came across so many flooded roads on the way home. It was crazy! We ate dinner, and the kids that live in the trailer across the road called. She hates storms, so she brought her 3 year old over, and we stayed in our basement til the tornado warning was over. The little one found all of my grandsons' toys - she didn't want to leave! So cute!!

A tornado was spotted just a mile east of us - YIKES! Another one north of that one, in St. John, IN. Watching the news this morning, looks like Merrillville, IN, got hit the worst. We were lucky again.

Quick health update with Hubby - he's always so tired, and has some brain fog here and there. The cardiologist lowered his BP meds, and said he might do an ablation down the road for his afib. OK. The big one - he gave him weight loss shots! Nothing has worked, so we will see how this goes. I know everyone has their opinion about the shots. Fingers crossed for him to learn healthy eating habits. I want him to be here for a long, long time. Do you know what my beautician said to me? "You don't see fat guys in a nursing home, do you?? They don't make it that long!" I was like, "Whattttt????" She's right.
