Wow, scary for sure.
P.S. But you are lucky if you're unable to think of a situation where someone close to you betrayed you.
So true.
OMG! That's just awful!!
I survived.
Some friends in town had some nut job get his balls in a bunch when the local hooker wouldn't service him anymore. He had very poor personal hygiene. He spray painted rude words on her house!!!! She was still raising her son. Then he started sending letters to all her friends on the FB place, sometimes at their place of employment. The letter simply stated they were friends of the prostitute. In a Bible thumping town though, not a good thing.
Yes, I was acquainted with the local hooker. A big group if us got together once a month to play Bunco. She wasn't a personal friend, so no letter for me. But it freaked out several women in our group.
The woman you met was dishonest. I am so glad she went away. You were very brave handling her.
Hugs!!
I can only imagine how the rumor-mill works in a small town!
Yeah, I got through it, and the only victim was many nights of sleep.
You can never be to careful when dealing with certain people. I am so sorry this happened to you and it made you much more aware of some of the people here on the site.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend. ?
All kinds here for sure.
Thanks, hope you have a nice weekend as well.
Oh dear! That definitely qualifies as betrayal.
Yeah, I think most of our minds go to a romantic betrayal first, but this is one of another kind.
You situation was scary. I'm glad she disappeared after ignoring her.
Me too!
Oh, boy, I know exactly how you feel. A lot of bros, get caught up in these types of scams. Ya, your friend is right, ignoring is the best course of action. I applaud you for taking screenshots, in the highly unlikely scenario it gets to court those will save your ass. Remember, what they are doing to you is a felony, and 99% of the time it's a bluff. Even if you sent her money she would still dox you. This is really overkill, but you could always make a couple phone calls to internal security or DC. It makes it so much easier to get #'s and etc. Ya, VOIP numbers are just as good as "real" numbers, for passing along information. They already know about them, they will just be watching them more closely.
It was a stressful time for sure!
