Dangerous Terrorists

Documents released by the FBI today show they have been spying on members of a website called AdultFriendFinder, claiming they are all dangerous sexual terrorists.

The documents, released to the ACLU this morning, show the American members of this site are talking to other members from around the world, making them a threat to national security.

The FBI also worried the members of the site are spreading disease, without informing their sexual partners they're infected. This makes the members of the group bio-terrorists, according to documents.

Another concern was, sexual freedom is considered a Liberal concept. Therefore, there is the worry that Liberals are going to seduce Conservatives and turn them away from their support of the current government.

"The people on this site are nothing but a bunch of liberal throwbacks to the 60s," said Ann Coulter. She continued, "They all have that make love, not war attitude that was responsible for the downfall of Nixon."

"A bunch of pervert whackos who are going to your !" said Rush Limbaugh.

"The thought that one of these people could be shopping next to me at Michael's or A.C. Moore is just disgusting! What if I touch something one of them touched?" poundered Michelle Malkin.

The terrorist assessment of the members of this website is high. The are a credible threat to national security and should be avoided by red-blooded, flag waving Americans everywhere.

==============================================================

No, this really didn't happen. Yet. But it could.

After the 9/11 attacks, John Ashcroft loosened the FBI's restrictions when it came to spying on groups he felt were a credible threat to national security, including websites. Well, a few of these groups are now suing.

Who did they feel was a threat to national security? Greenpeace, PETA, Quakers in Colorado, the American Arab Anti Defamation Committee, the Catholic Workers Group, the ACLU, several gay rights campus groups and a few others.

At a protest of North American Wholesale Lumber Association in Colorado Springs in June 2002, the FBI tracked the name and vehicle registration of every protester. They did this by tracing the license plates. It was a peaceful protest.

NYU's law school has a gay advocacy group called OUTlaw. They've not only been watched, but the Pentagon has gotten involved with the gay groups, this one they called "possibly violent." The Pentagon called a gay kiss-in staged by UC-Santa Cruz a "credible threat" to national security. How is a kiss-in a credible threat to anything? This is such a throw-back to the 60s when love-ins were considered a threat to the American way. We all know how getting some makes gay men and women violent and causes them to join Al Qaeda.

Considering Bush is screaming that his illegal spying on citizens all involved people involved wiht terrorist organizations, well, isn't it nice to know that by sending a to PETA, Greenpeace or the ACLU, you could have been flagged as a terrorist? Or if you're gay and protest the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, you're a credible threat?

So far, there are 150 groups that have been improperly monitored, as they're considered a threat. Protesting loggers is considered eco-terrorism. The Catholic Workers Group, which believes in giving to the needy, has been monitored, as the FBI feels they espouse a communist philosophy of sharing and redistributing wealth. um... Isn't that what Catholic charities are supposed to do? You have Conservatives screaming about social welfare and how charitable organizations should be supporting the poor, not our tax dollars. So, a group that is doing just that is being labeled as communist?

It would seem the FBI has expanded the definition of domestic terrorism to include citizens and groups that participate in lawful protests or civil disobedience. In other words, the first amendment no longer applies to anyone. No more do you have the right to speak your mind or assemble peacefully. Just as the NSA has proved the fourth amendment is no longer valid.

How bad is this administration and this spying scandal? Even uber-Conservative George Will is saying the President is wrong and overstepped his boundries.

Now, this next one, well, just damn! This guy is a major conservative and he's saying it's an impeachable offense:

QUESTION: Is spying on the American people as impeachable an offense as lying about having sex with an intern?

BRUCE FEIN, constitutional scholar and former deputy attorney general in the Reagan Administration: I think the answer requires at least in part considering what the occupant of the presidency says in the aftermath of wrongdoing or rectification. On its face, if President Bush is totally unapologetic and says I continue to maintain that as a war-time President I can do anything I want ‒ I don’t need to consult any other branches ‒ that is an impeachable offense. It’s more dangerous than Clinton’s lying under oath because it jeopardizes our democratic dispensation and civil liberties for the ages. It would set a precedent that … would lie around like a loaded gun, able to be used indefinitely for any future occupant.

Next, we have a law professor, who has had a rather stellar career, including being an advisor on Homeland Security:

"The president’s dead wrong. It’s not a close question. Federal law is clear," said Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University and a specialist in surveillance law. "When the president admits that he violated federal law, that raises serious constitutional questions of high crimes and misdemeanors."

I tip my hat to these brave men, as they are going to be going on the list of dangerous terrorists who need to be watched.

Something occurred to me while writing this. We invaded Iraq on false pretenses, Saddam Hussein is now on trial for doing whatever he wanted as President of Iraq. He has the attitude of, "I was President. I was allowed." hmmmm.... Ring any bells?

You said that the first part of your post didn't really happen. Actually, it's so plausible, that it MIGHT BE happening. Right now as we type...

Actually, I thing Ann Coulter might BE Rush Limbaugh. In some weird, science fiction V kind of way...

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

I do think Bush has committed many impeachable offenses, but the Republicans who control Congress are not going to do anything about it. Lets change the government in 2006 at the midterm elections!

I do think some of the eco terrorists deserve watching and I am not too sure about the extreme fringe of PETA. The rest of the groups you mention are peacenik types and clearly non violent.

This government has contempt for the Constitution and notions of checks and balances, civil libeerties and free speech.
